FC Sevilla 0 - 0 Malaga

Review:

Sevilla and Malaga had to settle for a share of the points at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this afternoon in what proved to be an Andalucian derby lacking in incident.Luis Fabiano and Frederic Kanoute both came close for the home side but were unable to find the target, and in the end a draw was a fair outcome from what was a match low on quality. The atmosphere was vibrant inside the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with the hosts desperate for the points to improve their fading Champions League hopes, while the visitors were looking for a precious win in their battle against relegation.

Real Madrid 4 - 1 Real Sociedad
Kaká 8’                               Arbeloa 72’ (OG)
Cristiano Ronaldo 21’, 42’
Adebayor 89'

Review:

Real Madrid closed the gap on league leaders Barcelona to seven points by securing a routine 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.Kaka's second goal of the season and a Cristiano Ronaldo double in the first 45 minutes proved enough to win the points, and Alvaro Arbeloa's late own goal had no impact on the final result, with Emmanuel Adebayor grabbing his first league goal for the club in the last minute of play.Madrid knew that after Barcelona’s convincing defeat of Atletico Madrdid on Saturday evening, they trailed their rivals by a massive ten points, but put themselves in a position for success from very early in the match.

Valencia 2 - 0 Hercules CF
Adúriz 43’
Tino 53’

Review:

Valencia's fine La Liga form continued as they dispatched travel-sick Hercules 2-0 at the Mestalla.
Los Che were denied a club record-equalling sixth successive victory by Racing Santander on Monday, but goals from Aritz Aduriz and Tino Costa ensured they made it six from seven.
The defeat left Hercules, who extraordinarily beat Barcelona at the Nou Camp back in September, still looking for their second away win of the season, while they have now lost four league games in a row.
