FC Koln 3 - 2 Bayern Munich
Clemens 55’               Gomez 22’

Novakovic 62’, 73’    Altintop 43’

Review:

Bundesliga top scorer Mario Gomez will miss Germany's home friendly against Italy on Wednesday due to sprained ligaments in his right knee. The Bayern Munich striker, who has scored 16 league goals this season, was hurt in his club's 3-2 loss to Cologne on Saturday. Gomez pulled out Monday and is currently the only withdrawal from coach Joachim Loew's squad, although doubts remain over midfielder Sami Khedira because of a leg injury. Khedira remained on the bench for Real Madrid's 4-1 home won over Real Sociedad on Sunday, but flew with teammate Mesut Oezil afterward to join the rest of the squad. Germany team manager Oliver Bierhoff says "those who are there, can play" in the match at Dortmund. Six other players sat out team training on Monday, although their participation is not thought to be in doubt. Khedira and Oezil were among six other players who sat out team practice Monday to train individually. The others were Bayern's Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thomas Mueller plus Werder Bremen defender Per Mertesacker.

Mainz 1 - 1 Werder Bremen
Schürrle 19’   Pizarro 90’

Review:

Werder Bremen salvaged a 1-1 draw at Mainz in their fight to stay clear of the relegation zone..
Andre Schurrle gave Mainz the lead after 19 minutes before Pizarro scored Bremen's first Bundesliga away goal since October 23 last year. But just when it appeared Mainz would secure all three points, Pizarro struck home the equaliser from five yards in the second minute of stoppage time after Sebastian Prodl and Per Mertesacker headed on a long punt from Mielitz.

Nurnberg 1 - 0 Bayern Leverkusen
Eigler 60’

Review:

Bayer Leverkusen missed a chance to pull closer to Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund after losing to Nurnberg 1-0.
Bayer Leverkusen missed a chance to pull within nine points of Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund by Christian Eigler scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute but did not make things easy for Nurnberg in the end by getting sent off in the 86th minute for a second yellow card. It was just a fourth loss of the season for Leverkusen, who stayed second.

Hanover 1 - 0 Wolfsburg
Pinto 5’

Review:

Sergio Pinto's early goal was enough to secure a 1-0 victory for Hannover over Wolfsburg.
Pinto scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute, with Diego's 80th-minute penalty miss proving costly for Wolfsburg.
Hannover had lost three times in their last four games but the victory moved them within two points of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who went down 1-0 at Nurnberg.
For Wolves it was a second straight loss after an eight-game unbeaten streak. They remained 12th - just one point above the relegation zone.

Hoffenheim 3 - 2 Kaiserslautern
Sigurdsson 28’      Hoffer 58’
Rudy 40’              Rodnei 59’
Ibisevic 62’

Review:
Ten-man Hoffenheim wasted a two-goal lead but held on to beat 3-2 Kaiserslautern to remain in the running for European football. Hoffenheim grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half courtesy of goals from Gylfi Thor Sigurdsson in the 28th minute and Sebastian Rudy in the 40th. But Erwin Hoffer (58th) and Rodnei (60th) scored within 96 seconds to pull level. Hoffenheim however bounced back and won the game from Vedad Ibisevic's goal in the 62nd minute.
Hoffenheim, who have suffered just one defeat in their last nine games, finished the game with 10 men as Edson Braafheid was given a red card in the 79th minute.

Monchengladbach 2 - 3 Stuttgart
Bonfim Dante 29’             Pogrebnyak 51’
De Camargo 31’              Harnik 56’
                                        Gebhart 87’ (pen.)

Review:
Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia felt rewarded for his gamble during Saturday's 3-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. The Swabians were trailing 2-0 at the interval, but Labbadia reverted to an adventurous 4-3-3 formation in the second half and believes the change brought about his side's much-needed success. Defeat in the bottom-of-the-table clash would have set the alarm bells ringing, but victory leaves Stuttgart only three points adrift of safety rather than rooted to the foot of the table. Gladbach's morale is low, on the other hand, after throwing away a glorious opportunity to win for the first time at the Borussia Park Stadion this season.
